Plans to develop area as Modern Development Model
MLA Sandeep Naik under his ‘MLA at your doorstep programme’ visited wards 36, 37 and 38 of Kopar Khairane this week. Naik said he is planning to develop the area as a ‘Modern Development Model’.
Naik after inspecting the areas discussed the issues of the area with the residents and local representatives of Bonkode village area.
Speaking on the occasion, Naik said, “Ward numbers 36, 37 and 38 of Navi Mumbai have in the past few years progressed very rapidly. However, there is still a lot to be done for the area. In the next three months, I intend to develop it as a model of modern development.”
The residents discussed over 250 problems which apart from those of water, meter and gutter which included construction of temples, lakes, progress of gaothan, need to increase public transport by increasing the frequency of buses and introduction of new routes, self employment opportunities and encouragement to self employment opportunities and encouragement to self help groups.
The residents told the MLA that the increasing population in the areas of Samtanagar, Prajapati Park, Baudhawada, Kalash Udyan, Balaji garden, Bonkode grampanchayat areas etc should be addressed as the requirements have increased.
Naik assured that he will discussed the issues raised with Mayor Sagar Naik and municipal commissioner Bhaskar Wankhede and in three months time prepare a modern development model for the area which will then be replicated in the rest of the city.
Those present during the visit included Corporators Varsha Vilas Naik, Suresh Saldar Corporator, Kondiba Tikone, social warker Fakir Mohammed Patel, Honumant Dalvi and other eminent citizens.
