Mother and child hospital work will be speeded up Sandeep Naik

MLA asks NMMC to ensure there in no compromise on quality
Work on the Mother and Child Hospital being constructed by the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) at Airoli will be speeded up, Airoli MLA Sandeep Naik has assured. Naik also instructed the civic officials to ensure that there is no compromise on quality of services at the hospital.
The work of the hospital on which crores  of rupees are being spent has been delayed due to technical reasons. Naik, visited the site on August 26 to take stock of the situation. He also visited Mahajan hospital in Rabale, where NMMC has been temporarily operating its hospital.
At present the foundation work and barracks of the first of the hospital have been constructed Naik expressed his displeasure at the slow pace of work and discussed in detail with the officials present, the reason for the state of affairs.
Said Naik, “NMMC should ensure that the facilities here are better than those available in the private hospitals. There should be no compromise. We want to ensure the best medical facilities for the city residents at affordable costs.”
He added, “ More department should be introduced in the hospitals to cater to a wide section of patients.”
Sandeep Naik also assured that the demands of other NMMC hospitals located in Vashi and Koparkhairane which he had visited recently will be met soon.
