Thalassemia unit inaugurated at Vashi civic hospital


MLA Sandeepji Naik inspects hospital, Hi tech CT Scan and MRI soon
MLA Sandeepji Naik inspected the Navi Mumbai Municipal corporation (NMMC) hospital at Vashi on july 15 and took stock of the facilities at the first Referral Unit. He assured that a dialysis machine, CT scan machine and MRI equipments will be provided at the hospital following discussion with the Mayor and the municipal commissioner.
A Thalassemia DayCare unit at the hospital was also inaugurated by the MLA on the occasion. Rotary Club and Theme Foundation together spent Rs. 3 lakh to have a thalassemia day care unit at the Vashi Hospital.
Naik had visited the hospital soon after becoming the MLA. He had then given instructions for up gradation. The changes effected.
Naik inspected all the departments of the hospital. He then announced, “The number of dialysis, C.T. Scan, MRI and various other necessary machines needs to be increased. At present there are two dialysis machines in the hospital and are always busy. Hence, soon the number will be increased to six.”
Speaking during the visit, Naik said, “People from thane, Panvel and various other regions come here for their treatment. Guardian minister’s vision of providing cheap health services to the poor has been a success and a boon for the common man.”
Asking for improvement in the condition of the hospital, the MLA said, “The wards have to be cleaned further and proper food needs to be provided to the patients.”
He also spoke to the staff members of the hospital and assured them that he will solve the problems faceb by them.
Sandeepji Naik while referring to the government hospitals in Mumbai said, “The government hospitals like KEM, J. J. hospital have advanced machinery to help the patients. Similary, soon Vashi municipal hospital will also be able to provide best facilities to the patients.”
He also assured good conditions at civic hospital in Airoli and Nerul. A Government medical college has also been planned in the city.
Stated Naik, “In a meeting with guardian minister Ganeshji Naik, Mayor sagar Naik and MP Sanjeev Naik, I will put forth a proposal for a medical college in the city.”
He informed, “At Airli civic hospital an independent ward for burn patients and at Nerul hospital an eye check up centre will come up.”
He assured that various problems related to the hospital will be solved in the coming three months period.
NMMC Medical officer of Health, Dr. D. R. Paropkari, Dr. Jawadia, Dr. Ashok wagh, Dr. Parekh, Dr. Jain, Standing Committee Chairmen Ramesh Shinde, Health Committee Chairman Raju Shinde and members of Rotary Club and Theme Foundation were present on the occasion.
